More On Relieving Drought Conditions

You have perhaps noticed articles written about or live in areas where there is drought. I have given some knowledge about inviting the rain here and here and have mentioned rain in many other posts but I'd like to mention something else and also to comment.

I have discovered and been privileged to view at one point in time how at least one species of animals on this planet can call for the rain. I may have mentioned this before but I'm going to mention it again since it is so pertinent to this post.

One day when living in Sedona I looked out my window and I saw in the back yard a gathering of ants. I had made some effort to put out some foods that they might be able to use and also attempted to put out water for them but did not always do it right though I think they appreciated the effort.

Fortunately there was a cactus in the back yard and over time I noticed that when they needed water urgently that they would go to the cactus and - not taking all the water from the cactus but just going to one broad leaf they would take what they needed from there - always and only just what they needed and then they would retire to their home.

Nevertheless one day when I looked out the back at the opening in the concrete to their home I saw a number of ants there, a crowd you might say - perhaps eighty to a hundred very closely together and they were doing something. At first I wondered - is it alright for me to look at this as I have great respect for what peoples, including animals, do in ceremony.

I had the feeling immediately however that it was alright for me to observe as long as I didn't stare. This means to glance at what you are privileged to see and then look away and then glance again and then look away but do so with respect so you're not staring at them for your stare might interrupt what they are doing. You know, if somebody is staring at you you often get the feeling of discomfort - animals are the same.

So while I was glancing at them I did notice that they were leaning back and forth - together closely and leaning in unison back and forth and back and forth. Of course I wondered what they were doing.

Shortly thereafter after they had completed their dance, as I call it, it began to rain. Not a lot - just a little. I might add that there was not a cloud in the sky and I mean nothing nor had there been a cloud in the sky that day and I had a good view from where I lived. But out of the sky from no clouds discernible to my eye came a few drops of moisture and even though it wasn't enough to give them what they needed that rain was special. I can only say that there was something unique about it and it was clearly a gift, a blessing.

So - some of you have wondered why I have devoted myself to finding out the innuendos and nuances of animal life and why my book, Animal Souls Speak is so dear to my heart but I'm bringing this up to you so that you will have the knowledge that if you are living in a drought area - be kind to the ants.

If you can find out what they like to eat as they have different things - different groups have different things just as we have our own tastes - some like meat, some like sweet - like that, you can look into it (you can read more about this process near the end of this post on my experiences in Brazil if you like) - then if you can make an offering and even plant a cactus perhaps so that they can have water and be sustained and ask them if you would like to - ask them if they would stay outside and live there while you live inside your home - in this way you would honor them.

You can also do this after you've established those boundaries and offerings. You can, if you like, say the following living prayer within their line of sight - meaning perhaps outside - nowhere near where they are walking so they are safe. Always try to give them plenty of room to walk where they need to walk. Then say, "I am asking that Grandmother Ant speak to the ant people and request that they do their dance wherever they do these things to bring the rain in the most benevolent way for the land here and all the peoples." That's what I recommend you do.

Grandmother Ant is a spirit who can hear in her own way the entreaties of the human being and transfer your request to those whom she oversees, guides and assists. We have our guides and they have theirs.

Try to remember that there are many different species on the Earth. We all work in harmony in many ways and while floods for example, disrupt and cause tragic consequences to us - so they do to the animals as well. So there is no chance that when the ants do their dance for rain - no matter how successful it will be - it will never cause a flood for they are susceptible to such tragedies as well.

I have spoken to you a great deal on this site and my other about what you can do to invite benevolence and what you can do to communicate with other forms of life. I will continue that in order to support your interaction and capacity to commune with all forms of life.

Here is our training ground on Earth to commune with all forms of life and to bring about the most benevolent existence for us all as we work in a interconnected way to support our environment, to support our lives and to support each other.

Goodlife to you all and goodnight.

Animals In Brazil, Part 2

Continuing from last time - my friend N came into the room where I was laying down and she said, "You..." and then she paused for a moment, "...you better come out and see this" and I wasn't feeling perfect but it was not like her to say something like that so I knew that it must be important and I went through the house and out over the front porch to the front steps and looked and there I had the privilege to see one of the wonders of the world.
A natural wonder, unlike anything anything I'd ever seen in my life. There marching in a phalanx about a foot wide came a row of ants. I do not know how many thousands and thousands there were but it was an amazing experience. It was - I can only describe it - a huge row - figure about a foot wide and quite a length long - sixteen or seventeen feet or more - were coming from the back of the house - the house sat on a cement slab. They would have had to come out of the small crack in the cement slab at the back of the house and march around the house in that perfect shape - a perfect formation - there weren't any ants straying from one side to another. It was a perfect shape and they marched, for lack of a better term - of course they were walking - to the front of the house just in front of the porch and then they formed this fantastic thing, a pattern.
It was a tremendous privilege to see it. I do not know if anyone out there has ever seen this but everybody there was utterly fascinated and I think that my hosts girlfriend was a little frightened because it was something that while it had some familiarity to things that human beings do at times, such as marching in formation, it was fantastic as if one was seeing something that extraterrestrials might do - meaning it was fantastic beyond belief.
These ants, or I'm going to call them ant people since I really think of them that way, formed a shape - still remaining in that foot wide phalanx as they poured into the shape that was roughly about five feet long by four feet wide and they traversed back and forth just like a stitches. Imagine if you can a pattern of squares and in that pattern of squares not unlike the weave of fabric or weave of threads - there would be some threads - yes - going across and some going up and down and the threads would weave just exactly the way a weaver would make, say a rug - threads going in and then down and around the other thread and then in and then down and around the other thread and so on just exactly like a weave and it was a weave pattern that formed a perfect checkerboard with ants going crisscross back and forth and then up and down, back and forth, up and down - I've never seen anything like it in my life.
It was astonishing and then after a minute or so of this amazing display by these truly amazing beings - think how many thousands - I cannot imagine the number - the ground was thick with them but it was in a perfect, absolutely perfect shape without any stragglers off to the side. Such union - and then a few of them, two, three, maybe five broke off from the ranks and walked up the stairs of the porch until they got up close to me and then they paused and the one in front leaned up and looked at me and my friend N said, "I - I think they want you to say something."
She was right because I suddenly felt a communion coming in and I started saying this - and I believe it was from the ants and I think you will believe it too when I'm done here. I heard and said out loud the message because I knew it was for my friend who's home this was who'd been having a problem with ants coming into the house. Even as I spoke it the ants continued to move back and forth and up and down in their fantastic weave pattern other then the few who had approached me by coming up the stairs.
I said, speaking for the ants as I believe, "A long time ago - about forty years - we lived here in this part of the forrest and then human beings came and they made a road and started building houses. We were a little alarmed but we thought, 'Well - we can all live together.' One day someone was building a house and they dug down and broke into where we lived and it was a disaster. We lost a whole generation of our young and it was terrible. We grieved about it for years afterwards - and we had to escape - not that many of us got away and we have been grieving the loss of this generation of our young for so very long.
"We managed to move over here and we are now in residence. When this home was built we were alarmed at first but then we saw they weren't going to dig and harm us. Yes, they scraped a little bit on the ground but then they didn't dig" and you recall I said the home was built on a cement slab - "but recently the man who lives here sometimes had been talking to his friends. He was going to build a extension to the house and dig down and make a basement" - and my host friend later confirmed this and he said that was true - he had talked about it and he was astonished that the ants would know and understand that.
The ant person went on to tell me and I spoke the story, "We were terribly frightened. We were afraid he was going to dig down and it would happen all over again. It has taken us forty years to rebuild our colony and we have not nor do we wish to cause harm to others but we are desperately afraid this is going to happen and we are asking that this not happen and requesting that it not happen" and that was all - and the moment I stopped speaking their story - the exact moment, the phalanx of ants started up again.
They had all arrived at that spot - that checkerboard weave of ants and immediately the story stopped the checkerboard pattern started to reduce itself but in a perfect geometrical pattern and the phalanx of ants marched - again about a foot wide of ants - marched in a perfect pattern back around the house and back to their home until they were gone.
I realize these words are a poor way of describing this amazing sight. I wish you all could have seen it. I do not know if there's anybody out there who's ever seen anything like this but it is an astonishing sight and I feel profoundly privileged to have been involved in seeing it and being able to tell their story. In my experience with ant people they are absolutely devoted parents. They love their young just like us. They're no different then us. I grant they look different and they may seem to be foreign but - think about it. Here we are living on our planet fairly isolated from the rest of the life in the universe.
Oh you hear about people having contacts with extraterrestrials but only some people are interested - not everyone - and yet so many of us are very excited and looking forward to experiencing space travel and the stories about space travel through our experience of astronauts and cosmonauts, "Who will they meet out there? Wouldn't it be wonderful if they meet extraterrestrials."
Lets make the effort to get along with our own terrestrials even if they don't look like us. I know it's a lot. I know that ant people look so different from us. So do beetles and for that matter we don't look much like elk either and yet somewhere out in space these beings all have relatives who are benign and benevolent. Who are concerned and want to meet people of Earth but they want to meet us safely and benevolently and they are concerned that - because we'll be afraid of them - because of their appearance that we may act in some way that might be harmful to them which is why they haven't revealed themselves but their relatives - not unlike us who were originating on other planets are here with us and regularly report, from what I've been taught, home about how we're coming along and how we treat them.
I know we don't want to live all together in one big pile of different types of beings nor am I suggesting it but if there are ant people in your home then I recommend you do what I recommended to my hosting friend after this amazing display by the ants. I said, as I've been taught, that I felt that the ants had delivered their story but there was more for him to do. He had been trained in shamanic ways and so I spoke to him in that light. I said it was important for him now to make contact with the ants in a benevolent way. That they had approached me to speak because they knew that I could understand them and that I had had contact with ant people before - which I have - but it was important for him to make contact benevolently and he said, "But I don't know how to talk to them like you do."
I reminded him that that wasn't necessary - that he was a man and therefore a form of life on Earth - a being. That it was only important for him to present to them an acknowledgment - to go near where their house was - the opening at the back of the house - the crack in the slab - and to simply place some little food items there - be it sweet or seeds or meat - something that ants might eat and he would find out by what they would eat what it is that they like - because they could live in the forrest that it may not be sweet but it might and therefore I would recommend that he would leave something and perhaps even make an effort at leaving water.
If he left water it would have to be as pure as possible and there would have to be - perhaps if it was a dish - little stones in the dish so that they could come to the water and have the water without being at risk of falling in. Perhaps he could put in something that was almost at the surface of the water but it was up to him and then don't put whatever you put out for them to close to the opening of their home but close enough within say, ten feet that they could easily get to.
Afterwards stand at a distance where there wouldn't be any risk of harming them and simply speak out loud and say to them that you acknowledge their right to be there and you appreciate their love for their families and the young ones and that you will make every effort even if you build more of the home there to build it on the surface of the ground so that they will not be harmed and the young will be safe and tell them that you will once a month make these offerings for six months just to let them know that this is something you acknowledge and you acknowledge their value. Ask them also that you be able to live inside your house and that they live outside your house. That's all.
"They might be happy...," I told my friend, "...with just once a month for three months but six months would be better and he said he would do it. I have found that sometimes this kind of process works even if at times the ants do not eat it - whatever you put out or whatever you put for them to drink - the fact that you have made the offering is very welcome to them and they recognize that you're reaching out to them.
I hope you've been interested in this event in my life witnessing of one of the wonders of the world. Goodlife.

Animals In Brazil, Part 1

Some years ago I was making trips now and then to Brazil to teach and to channel and to of course, experience the wonderful people of Brazil itself. I recall on one occasion I was staying with some Brazilian friends that I had met in Sedona not long before this trip. Their home was in a fairly big city in Brazil.
One of the people was having a problem at a family home out in the country. He asked me if I would come out and see if I could do something about it and he said to me at the time, "I know you can talk to the animals. Perhaps you can help because there are some beings there that are causing me a lot of discomfort" and so I said, "Yes of course."
I didn't realize how far it was. We all piled into the car. There were five of us including my friend N who was traveling with me. It turned out to be many, many miles and by the time we got there I wasn't feeling at my best. The home was in a residual portion of what was once tropical rain forrest with a narrow dirt road leading to the few modest homes that were there - nothing grand.
The beings my friend had been having problems with were ants who had been coming into the home in gradually greater numbers and my friend felt that perhaps they were trying to tell him something. When we got there I went around to the back of the home and found a narrow opening in the cement slab the home was built upon. I saw the ants coming and going from there. I spoke out loud as I have learned that they do understand.
I believe, according to my experience, that they receive an interpretation of communications like this from Grandmother Ant - as I call her - when these communications are spoken respectfully honoring their right to live benevolently. I said at the time that I was not feeling well and would lie down for a short time and then would come out and continue our communion.
I went in to lie down for a while and when I was laying there I noticed a spider on the wall a ways away. I suddenly heard a gentle voice and saw a picture in my minds eye of the sketch called Vitruvian Man by Leonardo Da Vinci depicting,I believe, man in balance - you know the one with the man standing with his arms stretched out over his head and his legs stretched out. Over this sketch I could see superimposed the outline of a spider with four legs on each side and I realized spider was trying to tell me something.
I heard the gentle voice say, "Imagine yourself to be like us. Imagine that you have all these legs coming out of your body and every time you breathe out - just breathe naturally - exhale as if you were exhaling through all these legs."
I had been taught by spirit previously how to exhale through any part of my body in order to release energies of discomfort, so picturing and imagining that these extra legs were present in my body I breathed out of them as well as out of my own arms and legs. I started to feel better almost immediately. It goes to show you that Mother Nature is around us all the time and the animals want to help and I know they will if we just give them a chance.
I thanked spider and just then my friend N came in and she said, "You'd better come outside and take a look at this." I got up feeling much better thanks to my spider friend and went outside. I will tell you about what happened with the ants in my next post. It was truly a wonder. I'd have to say - one of the wonders of the world.
Goodlife.

The People

I recall a time when I was taking a walk through the woods near my home. I walked up a path and there was a very large ant hill there. It was so large that it was uncommon in the area. I was relieved to see that no child or other being - perhaps a animal brush against it - that didn't happen and I remember in those days I was learning how to say, "Goodlife" instead of,"Greetings" or some other word that I would say to all life. I remember saying to the ants as they were coming and going, "Goodlife" and I would do this from time to time on my walk always being careful to step over their pathways that they make.
I have been guided that they walk in a single file the way they do - pretty much a single file yes - not because they are mindless but because they can be seen by larger beings around them. If they congregate in one place you see, or if they walk in a single file they can more easily be seen - is that not a wise way to be. So on my continuing walks I would say, "Goodlife" and continue on being careful to step over where they were walking.
One day when I walked by I said, "Goodlife" and I heard a voice say, "Goodlife" back to me and I had a vision of who I came to call Grandmother Ant. She said that, "There is a reason they do not stop and respond to you" and I remember thinking, "Oh I don't really expect them to stop. After all, they have their own life and their own culture and their own ways" and Grandmother Ant responded to my thoughts and said, "They do not stop but it is my job as a spirit to intercede and to pass knowledge and wisdom for them on to others and for others on to them and I have been letting them know that a human being is acknowledging them in a benevolent way and they have been cheered up by this.
"She went on to say that ant people, as I came to call them, will have songs and stories that they tell each other. Just because - you know I was reminded at that time and since then - just because we cannot hear someone else's songs and stories does not mean they are not there. She did not sing one of their songs for me because she said the song is intended to nurture and culture people of that type of being and it would not be appropriate for me.
She did go on to say however that they have a way of respecting each other, and I was quite startled by that, and she bowed somewhat - the type of bow that you see sometimes in various cultures.
I have also seen this with a deer out in the woods once when I was teaching someone I knew - a friend - how to do the deer walk which is done to honor deer and to welcome them and to experience them in a safe way for yourself and for the deer - if they wish to come and this particular student learned to do the deer walk very rapidly and was so good at it a deer did come and I remember because I had been experiencing the wisdom of Grandmother Ant - I remember doing the nod the way Grandmother Ant showed me - a slight bow - and the deer while eating a leaf and looking at myself and my friend nodded right back.
Is it not a wonderful thing how all the creatures of Earth have shared gestures. I found this to be very unifying and the deer walked slowly around us, while we stood quietly and appreciating this beautiful creature, and went on about its life.
Grandmother Ant told me various things about their culture over time and for awhile I was allowed to see things in their culture. The ants showed me what they did in order to invite rain if it was too dry, as I was living at that time in the American Southwest where it can be dry, and this was a worthy thing to learn.
I had been taught how to invite rain and how to invite the sun when there is too much rain. These are all things I would like to share with you some day if there is interest. The ant stories are worthy to learn and to pass on. I would like to tell you more about my experience with them and I believe you will be startled. There is one in particular that always amuses me. I will tell that now.
One day when I was living in that home near where I used to take my walk I remember that I was talking to a friend on the telephone and I saw an ant, just a single ant of the type that I saw when I went for my walks and the ant was walking across the shelf where the telephone is. It had a long cord and I was leaning back against an item of furniture - I think it was a bed and I could see the ant walking along. I didn't think to much of it - I was thinking perhaps when I'm done with my phone call perhaps I'll get the ant into a little cup which I had and escort ant outside so it will be safe and I didn't think much more about it until as I was talking to my friend I noticed that the ant was climbing up on the phone where I would hang up the phone normally and I thought this was rather odd.
Why is the ant doing that - and then the ant got up to the cradle where the phone would sit - it was a larger desk phone and it turned around and looked at me. I thought, "Oh well, this ant is making contact - it wants to tell me something" and so I told my friend that the - there was a being who wished to make contact and could he wait a moment and my friend said, "Oh sure, I'll do a little something else" and so I laid the phone down on the bed next to me and the ant realizing it had my attention slowly climbed off of the phone and got back down on the shelf and it - I remember it moved its arms around its head the way we think of them as cleaning themselves. I've been told though that this has a spiritual function for the ant. It is not necessarily that they are cleaning themselves. They do this to prepare themselves.
Then the ant turned around and looked at me to make sure that I was paying attention, like a good teacher, and then the ant did something I have never seen an ant do. The ant sat down. Think back. Have you ever seen an ant sit? I had never seen an ant sit before and it was quite startling and I realized that the ant wanted me to see this because when the ant sat down, it sat down facing slightly away from me. The ant turned around to look at me. The ant wanted me to know that they like all other beings do things that are natural for other beings on the Earth.
Many of us have seen animals that we don't often see sit or lay down but we know that they must - after all - they sleep yes? So here is an ant who came to show me that not only could this ant sit down but that ants in their own lives, in their own cultures - of course they sit down and when I had acknowledged it - I remember nodding my head - the ant got up, turned around, walked back the way it came and disappeared - apparently there was a way in and a way out.
I wanted to share that story with you today because it's a further acknowledgment of all life on Earth and how they want to teach us and show us about life in general. I hope you found this interesting. If you did you can let me know if you like. I will be happy to share other stories I've had with different forms of life on the Earth. Most of the time the stories are reassuring and comforting.
I find now that I relate to animals, as we call them, very differently. I do not think of them as ants anymore. After all, they do not call themselves ants but I do think of them, for the sake of my personal clarity, as ant people and I find that reminding myself that all other life are people first that it is important. Of course we think of ourselves as people and all other life that I have been able to communicate with - and I can communicate with the animals - then they always refer to themselves as - the people. I think that this is a word in my language, english, that is not only representative of all life but perhaps is representative of all life everywhere.
Goodlife to you all.
